Hi Damien, I think I may have missed sotinhemg along the line I followed the steps all the way through to deleting the music/songs in my laptop (I followed all the other steps! promise!). That deleted all the songs inside the playlists, by the way. Anywho- Once deleted, I wasn’t able to drag/drop the iTunes Media folder. So instead, I scanned for media. Great. All the songs from my Music folder and my iTunes Music folder are now there. How do I proceed with sync’ing from the laptop now? I went to test a change and it warned me that all the songs/movies/books would be removed off my phone and sync with the new library. Reply May 14, 2013 at 9:12 am

Hello Rosa, I think I may know what the probelm is. I think the probelm was when you scanned for the media. Remember when I mentioned the persistant id? I think what happened is that when you scanned all your media back into iTunes, it added that media to the new iTunes persistent id.The thing with moving your iTunes library over is that it also moves the persistant id, instead of copying (scanning) all your media to a new persistant id (persistant id on your iphone and iTunes have to been the same to sync or it will ask to erase and sync). What was the probelm with move your iTunes library over?
